Hey Guys,

I just want to extend a lot of thanks to every one that came out to support FOTK in concert at the Salvage Yard in Joplin Saturday night. We had such a great time there, it was worth the wait to get to play there. So many new friends were made and I know that we will back again to play and share our faith. We as a band were inspired and the Spirit was all over the place.

Our next date is April 25th. We will be in St. Robert playing a CMA bike show. Make plans to show up and have a great time with us. The next Day, Sunday April 26th I will be speaking at Biker Sunday in Stockton, and then that night FOTK will be rockin' for Olive Branch church in Sedelia Mo. You can write to me for more info if you want to be at any of these events. We love you guys so much and are very thankful for your support in prayer and in showing up at these events. God bless each of you greatly!! D-

Hey Guys,

It has been a minute since I last caught you all up, so I thought I would take a minute to do that.

As some know, I went through some minor surgery on Monday to correct a sinus problem. I am doing 100% and I am enjoying being able to breathe for the first time in as long as I can remember. I know that this will help in the music and preaching ministries that God has called me to.

Speaking of the ministry...As most of you know I, and two of my very best friends, have taken a church in Springfield. Fresh Heart Four Square is the name of it. God has really been blessing us and the place is undergoing a great time of growth. We are however short on labourers. I was reading the other day in Matt 9:37.38 where it speaks of the harvest being plenteous, but the labourers being few. It so much reminded me of our little church that is trying to grow, but is being limited by people that will answer the call to minister. We are seeing great things happen there, and I couldn't be more excited. Each week as I drive to the church it is with great anticipation to see what thing God will do. I would like to share with you just a couple of them.

Pastor Harold had lunch with a guy the other day that sells Sheetrock. The guy heard that we are redoing the classrooms for our kids and gave us all the Drywall to do the job!! About seven thousand dollars worth!!

Harold was on the phone with a lady that brokers cabinets, he told her we are making a new supply room for our teachers and that we need cabinets. She told him that she didn't have anything for him. A few minutes later she calls back and says a truck full of cabinets delivering to some place in Branson arrived with the wrong color stuff on the truck. She had already spoken to the manufacturer and they told her to give them to us!! Not only that but to throw in a microwave and a sink!! About five thousand dollars worth.

We started this remodel job with five thousand dollars in the bank. I know that it's crazy, but God impressed on us to move and that He would get this done. At every step He has just showed off!! We have only spent money on a dumpster so far, and have the place almost gutted and ready to put back together!! I just can't wait to see what God is going to do next!!

Now back to the labourers. I have spent many a Sunday in churches just sitting on a bench doing nothing while I knew that I was called to something. I have asked pastors in the past to use me in music, or teaching only to be turned down "at this time." When we took this church together we made sure we were all on the same page in ministry. We call ourselves the "Yes Men" because we love to say yes. Every opportunity we get we say it. We would like to say it a lot more, but we are not being asked to do anything. So here it is, if you are sitting in your comfortable chair in church and you know that you have been called to something, we want you to come and be a part of this. Yes is our answer to any one that is called and qualified to do anything in the church. Want to drive a bus? YES! Want to teach? YES! Music? YES! Drama? YES! Usher? Door greeter? Yard work? builder? Cleaner? YES YES YES YES!! We are growing and we can use every one that wants to commit to something. If you don't know and want to learn, we will teach you. I know that the time is growing ever shorter, and that every minute counts. We can not afford to sit in our chair and watch the world go by any more. So there it is. If you have felt God pull on your heart, but have not found a place where you're at, then give us a try and see if you fit with us. If you have never had a sense of love and unity in your church, then come and see what that is like.

We have programs for your children and we are growing there too. Please come and check us out. It isn't like anything you've done.

Well guys I didn't really mean to go that far into the church, but God has His reasons.

We as a band will soon be getting together and starting our spring line up of songs. We pray that we are used more this year than ever before. We have written some new stuff, some hard and some worship. I know God isn't done! We hope to have bigger events and more people come to know the power of Jesus than ever before. If you pray for us, please continue. If you support us, thank you. Be looking for God to show off bigger than ever before!! Blessings, D-

Hey Guys,

As some of you know I have taken a church in Springfield with two of my very best friends. God is really pouring out on us and we are having the time of our lives. The church is growing like mad and the lives of the people are being changed and renewed by God's wonderful word. We want to invite you to come out next Saturday afternoon to enjoy a concert with us at Fresh Heart Church at 4pm.

As most of you know I am also in a band. We will be praising God with all who show up, and I know that this will be a great time in the Lord. We want all of you to show up and and celebrate everything that God is doing. We will be opening up the big sanctuary so there will be plenty of room. We are going in today to work on some things to make this the best event we have ever had. Come expecting a blessing from God and He will not disappoint you! Now let me tell you how to get there.

If you are coming from Springfield, go North on 13 Highway to Fantastic Caverns Road. (the first road outside of town. Turn right and go to the "T" turn left and then follow the arrow signs. The first one is just past the bridge about a mile or so.

If you are coming from Bolivar, go South on 13 highway to WW turn left. Go to the first farm road to the Right (145) and follow it to the church, about four miles or so. ( a mile past the lake)

We are praying that Grant street will soon be open again, but for now this is how ya gotta get here.

This will be the last concert for Friends of the King for this year. We will be going into the wood shed to work out new music. Our next concert may not be till late Feb or March so I urge you to join us for this event.

As always you are in our prayers, we love you and we hope to see you soon. Blessings, D-

Hey Guys,

It's been a while since I have written to you all. A few things to catch you up on.

I have taken a church with my long time friend and pastor Harold Crawford. We are now in Springfield at Fresh Heart on North Grant 2 1/2 miles North of the fair grounds. It has been a great blessing as the church is just blowing up around us, and there is a wonderful excitement in the air. I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to come out and visit us. The Friends of the King will be in concert on November 22nd at 4pm at the church and this will be our last concert for the year. I really hope that you guys will come out and be a part of this. We want you to know that we love you and your prayer and support of all the ministries we are into means so much to us.

I personally would love to see you in our new church. We are so excited about what God is doing there. Our service times are 10:30 Sunday mornings, and 6:30 Sunday evenings. Lady's meet on Wednesday evening at 7pm. We have child care and children's church for every age. I know I sound like I'm trying to sell you something, sorry for that, I just don't want ANYONE to miss out on what God is doing.

Just one more thing and I'll shut up! There is a free ride to church from Salvation Army on Sunday nights leaving the parking lot at 5:15. That is in the old Fred's parking lot by Fast n Friendly.

O kay I'll shut up like I said. Love you all and bless you all. I hope to see you face to face very soon. D-

Hey Guys,

Yeah I know, It's been a while. Much has changed over the last few weeks, and I find myself in more need of prayer than ever. There is never a day that passes that I don't need your prayer, and for those of you that remember my family and I regularly in prayer, I that you so much.

Let me catch you up.

Last week I was in the hospital for a couple of days. I thought I was going to die, and the threat was really there. I had Spinal Meningitis. I have never felt that kind of pain in my life, and a week later I am still hurting some. But God was greater. He always is you know. I know I haven't been a believer for all that long, ten or eleven years is all, but God has never failed me. Let me tell you the story, you know how I like to tell stories!

A couple of weeks ago I ministered in El Dorado Springs at my old church, Spring of Life Family Worship. I had been having trouble with my voice over the last month or so. I would sing for just a few minutes and I could feel my voice start to fade. That isn't like me and it was starting to worry me. As most of you know I sing in a Jesus band, and I don't know what I would do if that was taken from me. any way at lunch after church I asked Earl to pray for me over my voice. As he was praying he asked God to reveal the cause of it all. Tuesday at work I felt bad all day and about four thirty I couldn't take it any more so I left. At home I started to feel better, so I went to jail and held two services, but at home again I started to get worse. Early in the morning I was getting sicker so Christina took me to Urgent Care at Cox. I was there for a long time, got meds, and was sent home. I got home, and turned around to go back, only this time to the E.R. I was there all day, and half the night.

Long story short, Earl's prayer was answered. God revealed that I had had a sinus infection for months. It never occurred to me that it was anything more than allergies that I have every year. With out the pain the truth would never have been known, and I would never have been cured of the problem.

My voice now is strong and clear. Thank you Jesus for prayers that are answered in Your way and not in the way I think they should be. Thank God for the pain. God may be working in you a greater weight of glory that you could never have in any other way.

This will be the first week that Christina and I will be in our new church. We have taken an Assistant Pastor ship in Springfield at Fresh Heart church on North Grant. This is an exciting time for us and we look forward to serving there with Pastor Harold. I could write a book on how this all came to be, but I won't. We have been being prepared for this for a long time, and now God is promoting us. Please come out and see us some, and thank you for hanging with us for these last four years of ministry, we are standing in great expectation of what God is going to do in this next season of our lives. D-

Hey Guys,

We had such a great time this week end in Crane and in Rockaway. I hope you were all there to be a part of these wonderful events. Keith took a bunch of pictures so if you want to see them just e mail me and I'll get you the link.

Out of all of the concerts we played this week end though I have to say it was at biker church with flat top guitars and a Rubbermaid case for a drum set that I felt the Lord the most. We have played these and other events all over the place and we have such a great time at them, but I crave the presence of God more than big crowds of people or anything else.

We are going to be at Fresh Heart Church this Sunday night at 6pm. We would love for everyone to come out and worship with us. This will be our second time there, and last time it was truly an awesome time. We will have a bus leaving New Heart at 5pm sharp if you would like a free ride there and back. I urge you to invite some one to come and to show up for a wonderful night of praise.

Fresh Heart church is on Grant North of the fair grounds about 3 or 4 miles, just before the lake. This may be our last time in Springfield for a month or two, so come on out and bring a friend.

We would like to thank every one for supporting our ministry, and for inviting us to play. We love each one of you, and we are so very thankful that God has allowed us to be a part of your lives. Be blessed! See ya Sunday! D-
